Saw on Kullish that Microsoft is taking steps to open-sourcing Windows 11 user interface framework - Neowin
Got me laughing, the irony of all this. Perhaps, that’s a good thing, the open sourcing the whole thing.
But honestly, are there people who actually use Windows 11 these days? I understand the percentage, but still, it feels like everyone is on macOS or Linux. Windows feels so obsolete, so clumsy.
I worked with it from my wife’s with issued laptop. And it’s so unbelievably bad!
- I renamed a file, and it never showed that in file explorer from where I renamed the file. Until I pressed the refresh button. Oh, this is very futuristic thing to have.
- Then, turned out, I cannot select files and make a directory with them.
- When I manually created a directory and moved the files there, turned out the change wasn’t reflected in the other window that, turned out, had the same directory opened. Mind blowing.
Really, I used the system for like 3 minutes and I faced so many absolutely incredible stupid things. It’s hard to believe people are actually using the system. It’s just miserable.
Always has been.
