I wanted to test my email client from my PC, whether it works or not. Including the encryption keys. Looks like it works well.
To migrate my Thunderbird client from one PC to another, I just copied ~/.thunderbird directory. Cool! Interesting, what if I’d sync the directory across all my devices using Syncthing. I may add one more email account from one machine, and it should magically appear on another one. Not really useful, but still I’m amazed by the easiness of the process.
I killed my Hackintosh entirely and created one more Arch Linux machine. It looks like I moved most of the things I needed, including even Virtual Machines workflow. Excluding Hackintosh and Windows for design work, will do later.
Btw, I’m amazed how easy it is to do many complicated things with the help of ChatGPT. The most inspiring thing for me was disk management (I created quite a complicated set-up) and sway tuning (made most of my DE fantasies work!).
I was looking for a mouse-centric yet lightweight system for my netbook to keep it as a music server (it has a broken keyboard, so it’s either ssh or external keyboard). I wanted to use Wayland, and looks like there’s no DE for that. Either it’s X11 and LXQt, LXDE or similar projects. Or it’s keyboard-centric (sway, hyprland etc.). Or it’s full-blown Gnome or KDE. Ha-ha! May need to use it without display then or what. I don’t know. In the process I found a funny video, scroll through it. It has so funny ending that I laughed!
